quote of the day. wrong or right.

“When I was a little girl, everything in the world fell into either of these two categories: wrong or right. Black or white. Now I know that some things fall into wrong and some things fall into right. Some things are categorized as black and some things are categorized as white. But most things in the world aren't either! Most of everything is just different. And now I know that there's nothing wrong with different, and that we can let things be different, we don't have to try and make them black or white, we can just let them be grey.  Grey is okay.” (C. JoyBell C.)

Impressions. Travels. San Francisco.

We're both looking at the same moon, in the same world. We're connected to reality by the same line. All I have to do is quietly draw it towards me. And yes, I dream. Sometimes I think that's the only right thing to do."  (Haruki Murakami)

"You can kiss your family and friends good-bye and put miles between you, but at the same time you carry them with you in your heart, your mind, your stomach, because you do not just live in a world but a world lives in you." (Frederick Buechner)

"This is a love story. I never knew there were so many kinds of love or that love could make people do so many different things.

I never knew there were so many different ways to say goodbye." (Maggie Stiefvater)

“That's when I realized that certain moments go on forever. Even after they're over they still go on, even after you're dead and buried, those moments are lasting still, backward and forward, on into infinity. They are everything and everywhere all at once.
They are the meaning.”

words to live by. wordly wisdom.

“She didn't belong anywhere and she never really belonged to anyone. And everyone else belonged somewhere and to someone.  People always thought she was too wonderful to belong to them or that something too wonderful would hurt too much to lose. And that's why she liked him -  because he just thought she was crazy.

And to the others, she said: One day you're going to miss the subway because it's not going to come. One of these days, it's going to break down and it's not going to come around and everyone else will just wait for the next one or will take the bus, or walk, or run to the next station: they will go on with their lives....

And you're not going to be able to go on with your life! You'll be standing there, in the subway station, staring at the tube. Why? Because you think that everything has to happen perfectly and on time and when you think it's going to happen! Well guess what! That's not how things happen! And you'll be the only one who's not going to be able to go on with life, just because your subway broke down. So you know what, you've got to let go, you've got to know that things don't happen the way you think they're going to happen, but that's okay, because there's always the bus, there's always the next station...you can always take a cab.”

Words. To live by. Crazy people. Moments.

Quotes for life: But then, as time goes on. Juilliard´s Senior Production 2013.

"You drive by them, these two buildings, and you look, and you realize that we really built that up. That we really built that love into these things, and for a long time afterward looking at them really made me feel sad; to see these empty buildings that I don´t go in to anymore. But then, as time goes on, they start to become kind of joyous in their own way: You can look at them and think 'that love was great and these buildings still stand tall'. But there is also an element of the fact that they´re just buildings - they´re gonna fall down one day, and they´re not that´re not that important because there´s new love in your life and you´ve got to break things down, that get built up."

Justin Vernon

"Focus your energy, you´ll know where to put it. Learn form what is all around you. Keep things close but not too close. Breathe deeply before reacting to a challenge. And keep doing what you´re doing - even if you haven´t a clue what it is - as long as it feels right."

Jason Collins, Senior Production Choreograph

"Because one step or one thought alone requires enormous consideration, progress feels slow in the moment and somehow suddenly speedy in retrospect."

Ingrid Kapteyn, Senior Production Tänzer

"Sometimes I think you are in a relationship because you need help,
but that´s not necessarily why you should be in a relationship. And that´s skinny.
It doesn´t have weight. Skinny love doesn´t have a chance because it´s not nourished.
Not at all."

Justin Vernon

"When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark,
you don´t throw away your ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer."

Corrie Ten Boom

"The adjustment of reality to the masses and of the masses to reality
is a process of unlimited scope, as much for thinking as for perception."

Walter Benjamin

Quotes of the day. Impressions New York. True blue.

I wanted to create change in my life and I knew that I could only do it by myself, I just felt as the creator of my own future, like the writer of a life story, looking for new inspiration.....

"I tell you, the more I think, the more I fell
that there is nothing more truly artistic
 than to love people."

"Defining a sense of self and authenticity
 can be a revelatory journey..."

“It's the possibility of having a dream come true
 that makes life interesting.”

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

"The simple things are also the most extraordinary things,
and only the wise can see them.”

“Why do we have to listen to our hearts?" she asked.
Because whereever your heart is,
that is where you will find your treasure."

We are travelers on a cosmic journey,
stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity.
Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other,
to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment.
It is a little parenthesis in eternity.”

Impresssions. New York. Everything affects everything.

“Because it may seem like a small role now,
but it matters. In the end, everything matters....
It's a big deal when you finally get the chance
to do the one thing you want to do.
Need to do. More than anything.
It can kind of scare the crap out of you.”

“We all know the sound a camera makes
 when it snaps a picture.
Even some of the digitals do it
 for nostalgia’s sake."

“And there comes a time when the world gets quiet
and the only thing left is your own heart.
So you'd better learn the sound of it.
Otherwise you'll never understand what it's saying.
Don´t think or judge, just listen."

“I thought again how you could never really know
what you were seeing with just a glance,
in motion, passing by. Good or bad.
Right or wrong. There was always so much more.”

“I understood now. This voice.
The one that had been trying to get my attention.
All this time, calling out to me,
begging me to hear it. It was mine.
Story of my life.”

Hunger for life. New York. Impressions.

“There are a few moments in your life when you are truly and completely happy, and you remember to give thanks. Even as it happens you are nostalgic for the moment, you are tucking it away in your scrapbook.”

“There's a taste in the air, sweet and vaguely antiseptic, that reminds her of her teenage years in these streets, and of a general state of longing, a hunger for life to begin that from this distance seems like happiness.”

“I'm going to enjoy every second, and I'm going to know I'm enjoying it while I'm enjoying it. Most people don't live; they just race. They are trying to reach some goal far away on the horizon, and in the heat of the going they get so breathless and panting that they lose sight of the beautiful, tranquil country they are passing through; and then the first thing they know, they are old and worn out, and it doesn't make any difference whether they've reached the goal or not.”

“Fate never promises to tell you everything up front. You aren't always shown the path in life you're supposed to take. But if there was one thing she'd learned in the past few weeks, it was that sometimes, when you're really lucky, you meet someone with a map.”
